Starting around the year 2000, financial industry conferences began to proliferate and are a good way to present yourself to potential investors. Many are sponsored by brokerages. Check out the partial list of upcoming conferences at Bedford and Assoc. and another list at Microsoft Money Central and yet another list at Research Magazine . Explore the possibility with your market makers and investment bankers. Other investor conferences are run by magazines or commercial organizations. A few have been around for years but many are new. Last but definitely not least, you might get a chance to present at The New York Society of Security Analysts, which holds regular meetings. It is worth a try. |
Some of these companies offer more than one type of conference, some aimed at people interested only in smaller companies and some featuring larger companies. Check out all the conferences to make sure which is right for you.
Most conferences will also be webcast, some live. Due to Fair Disclosure regulations, some companies will not participate in a conference unless it is also to be available on the Web.
